Amp/effect type sorting helps you quickly find the tone you are after.
Zoom is a company that creates sound processing hardware specially designed for the guitar and the bass.
Zoom Edit&Share can be used for this purpose in an easy and fast way. You only need to connect your guitar to one of the two devices supported (G2Nu or G2.1Nu), attach the hardware to your computer, and open one of the different patches available on your device. Then, you can edit it through the program's graphic interface, which imitates a set of physical pedals like the ones used by professional musicians on stage. You can select/deselect any of the pedals featured, and adjust the different settings of those chosen by rotating their knobs as you would do with real pedals. This way, you can adjust the preset configuration according to your needs. Also, you can create your own combination by selecting the effects you want and adjusting them as you desire. An interesting feature is the collection of online patches: the program can connect to the Internet for you to test those sets. If you like any of them and want to edit it, you need to download it. There are sets designed by famous musicians, like Steve Vai and more.
If you have the G2nu or G2.1nu devices, then this program will be very useful for you.
